(B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering)NON - INVASIVE GLUCOMETER
Our principal project - using bioimpedance technology to calculate blood glucose levels
Bioimpedance Technology
Monitoring blood sugar levels can be a hassle and the need to get blood samples everytime causes irritation and discomfort on the skin. Using bioimpedance technology, we simply pass a current across two points on the skin and using the impedance readings, deduce the blood sugar levels

Target Demography
The non-invasive glucometer is useful to anyone who wants to keep an eye on their blood sugar levels regularly. It can also be standard-issue at hospitals to measure blood glucose

Hardware Description
We used a custom built PCB, a bioimpedance analyzer, a microprocessor, some electrodes and a basic display to analyze and display the impedance values and infer the glucose levels

Working
An oscillator generated alternating current at high frequency. Electrodes pass the current between two points on the skin. The impedance between the two points is analyzed by the bioimpedance analyzer. The microprocessor computes the blood glucose level from the impedance values.
